Ali’iola Hale in Honolulu is across the street from the ‘Iolani Palace, America’s only royal palace. Previously serving as parliament hall when royalty reigned in Honolulu, it is today the seat of the state supreme court. The gilded statue immortalising the Hawaiian chief, Kamehameha 1, who unified the islands, stands before the Ali'iola Hale. The Ali’iola Hale stands on King Street at Richards Street in Honolulu. For a sense of history it is well worth visiting this important building when in Honolulu.
