Vancouver Sights, Sounds and Hotels
The city’s third-largest park, Queen Elizabeth Park, you will find at the highest point in Vancouver, about 5km south of Gastown – the oldest part of the city. You can examine flora from three different climate zones and survey around 50 species of unconfined tropical birds at the hilltop Bloedel Conservatory, the centre point of the park. Don’t miss the splendid views of the city during the walk up to the conservatory. An exquisite sunken garden at the base of the park is bordered with minor cliffs, some incredible plants, and an Oriental fashion garden populated with pools and fountains. The Elizabethan Hedge Maze is the most popular feature of the nearby VanDusen Botanical Gardens, a few minutes' walk west of Queen Elizabeth Park, where can also observe a superior assortment of ornamental plants.
Vancouver is the perfect holiday destination with something for everybody, and even places like Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Park where you can take a break from your break. You'll find that the noteworthy Vancouver hotels are also perfect for a break.
